Quality Associates’ new headquarters, located in the Maple Lawn
business park in Fulton, Maryland, is proving to
be an excellent place to do business!
The new headquarters provides ample
space and production capacity for employees
to perform work on behalf of our clients.
Depending on the scope and timelines of an individual project, this could mean
anything from a small group of two or three employees to a larger team working
in shifts throughout the day.
As one of the very first businesses to be established within this emerging
area, Quality Associates is in the position to watch a new office park, as well as
other shops and restaurants, rise—literally—from the ground up.
Our new location also places us conveniently near major roads and highways,
giving employees ready access to our clients in Virginia, Maryland,
Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C. We are also a short drive to the Baltimore/
Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI), which brings us
closer to our clients located outside the region.

We are extremely pleased to announce
the launch of DocPoint Solutions, a new
subsidiary organization of Quality
Associates, Inc. DocPoint Solutions will
provide a full range of consultative services, support and software, including
Microsoft SharePoint, to organizations that are looking to expand employee
collaboration efforts and increase information exchange across the enterprise.
Like Quality Associates, DocPoint Solutions will focus on providing
services to government agencies and private companies in regulated industries
such as accounting, legal, healthcare and finance. The new company will also
leverage Quality Associates’ standing as a GSA Federal Supply Service (FSS)
contract holder.
Leading DocPoint Solutions is Bob Dickerson, who serves as vice president.
Dickerson has a successful track record of nearly 20 years in regional and
national sales positions with leading suppliers of imaging products and solutions.

DocPoint Solutions is based at Quality Associates’ headquarters in Maple
Lawn. The new company is online at www.docpointsolutions.com.
In October, Quality Associates announced it received a new contract with the Food and
Drug Administration. With the large-scale project, Quality Associates will digitize, index and
consolidate approximately 20 million pages of documentation and materials at over 20 FDA
facilities across the United States.
The documentation relates to investigations and inspections conducted by the FDA.
Currently, the documentation exists in print, electronic media such as CDs, and in their original
form, such as product packaging. When the $20 million project is complete in about five years,
authorized FDA personnel will be able to search for and access specific documentation housed
in a comprehensive digital document archive.
“Federal agencies—especially those involved in regulation and oversight—have archives
that literally amount to millions of printed pages stored within thousands of hard-copy files,
CDs and even floppy disks,” said Scott Swidersky, Director of Quality Associates’ Information
Systems division. “Records are often stored across various locations and satellite facilities,
making it a challenge to access the information. Digitizing, indexing and consolidating information
to make it readily accessible to the appropriate staff can significantly reduce the time
needed to assemble supporting documentation.”
In October, QAI hired
Michael Ratigan as its newest business development executive. An industry
professional with more than 20 years of sales, marketing and business
development experience, Ratigan will be responsible for fostering new
business opportunities with clients and partners. “My role at QAI is to help
companies and organizations fully utilize their current tools and their staff
through the introduction the latest electronic management technologies.”
Before joining Quality Associates, Ratigan was a regional sales
manager at SOURCECORP, a provider of outsourced business process
solutions to organizations such as Kaiser Permanente, CitiFinancial, Johns Hopkins University
and Chevy Chase Bank. Prior to that, Ratigan was a regional manager at Context Media, a
provider of enterprise content management products and services to commercial and federal
clients. Earlier, Ratigan held vice president positions at LearningStream and Bidnow.com.
