QAI recently signed a contract to lease a new corporate headquarters facility in Maple Lawn, Md.
The new, 45,000 square foot class-A office space facility in Maple Lawn will nearly double the space of our current facility off of Red Branch Road in Columbia, Md. The building is expected to be completed in spring 2007 and will house all QAI’s administrative offices, several dedicated document conversion centers and XML conversion facilities. A new state-of-the-art, secured archive facility, equipped with a full Halon fire suppression system including an early warning smoke detection system is also part of our new plans.
Maple Lawn is planned as a traditional neighborhood development and offers more than one million square feet of class-A office space, predesigned with first-class amenities. Located at the intersection of 29 and 216, Maple Lawn also includes more than 1,000 residential units and more than 100,000 square feet of retail space. Developed by Greenebaum & Rose Associates, the 604-acre community will integrate residential, commercial and open space, putting all three within walking distance.
QAI recently received the award for “Top Federal Certified Solution Provider (CSP)” from Kofax, the world’s largest information capture vendor. QAI recently became a Premier Solutions Reseller by the Eastman Kodak Company. Under the new agreement, QAI is providing Kodak’s extensive portfolio of check imaging hardware and software solutions, and can now offer a broader range of professional services to banks and commercial companies.
Kodak’s new line of check imaging equipment makes it possible to quickly and easily convert paper checks to digital images for electronic transmission for processing and settlement. Now, financial institutions, businesses, and government offices can capitalize on the benefits of the Check Clearing for the 21st Century Act. Known as Check 21, the federal legislation removes the barriers to electronic check processing, setting the stage for checks to clear within hours instead of days.
