Deputy Associate Commissioner of the Social Security Administration to speak at Document Automation Conference

Columbia, MD - August 19, 2004
Quality Associates, Inc. (QAI), a leading provider of document management and imaging solutions, today announced that Thomas G. Grzymski, Deputy Associate Commissioner Office of Enterprise Support, Architecture and Engineering (OESAE) for the Social Security Administration (SSA) will be the opening speaker at the Document Management and Automation for the Government Enterprise Conference on September 16, 2004. The conference is being held at the NRECA Executive Conference Center in Arlington, VA from 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

“We are excited that Tom will be able to share some of the SSA’s experiences with other government agencies who are facing similar document management challenges,” stated Scott Swidersky, Director of Information Systems at QAI.

Mr. Grzymski will discuss how improvement to the Social Security Administration's Disability Programs has been a top priority of the agency. One key part of this program was to replace the paper intensive medical evidence collection process with electronic documents. This presentation will address the planning, design and implementation of SSA's Document Management Architecture as well as the lessons learned and challenges the agency still faces with its rollout.
