Academy for Educational Development Selects Quality Associates for Document Conversion and Archiving Project
Columbia, MD - April 18, 2006
Quality Associates, Inc., an established provider of services and solutions for document management, imaging and archiving, announced that it has been selected by the Academy for Educational Development, a non-profit organization committed to solving critical social problems in the areas of health, education, youth development and the environment, to complete a comprehensive document conversion and archiving project for all of the organization’s hard-copy records.
Under the agreement, Quality Associates will transport more than 10,000 boxes of materials from the Academy’s headquarters in Washington, D.C. to Quality Associates’ imaging center in Columbia, Maryland, where each page will be sorted, scanned, converted into a PDF, and then returned as a series of DVDs that can be more easily accessed and stored. Quality Associates will also handle the archiving of the documents during the conversion process.
